Installation of the heaviest double-glazed window in Russia

For installation of a double-glazed window weighing 2270 kg and measuring 6 meters by 2.5 meters, specialists of the company Arlift developed and produced a unique traverse, which allowed the simultaneous use of 4 vacuum grippers of the GS line with a load capacity of up to 850 kg. Installation was carried out by the construction company Kivitalo, which specializes in the design and construction of Finnish stone houses in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

At the moment, this is an absolute record for Russia. A few years ago, the installation of double-glazed Windows with such a weight seemed something fantastic. It is gratifying to see that the world is changing and we are taking an active part in it!

GS-850 vacuum grippers, developed in-house by the company, are designed for mounting glass and sandwich panels weighing up to 850 kg. The devices perfectly cope with their duties in all weather conditions, can perform work at temperatures from -25 C to +50 C. In addition, all GS line vacuum equipment has a dehumidification system and a backup vacuum storage unit for maximum work safety. It can also perform a 360° rotation with a 90° lock, which allows you to turn the glass from the transport position to the mounting position without re-locking.
