Test yourself for strength, strengthen your team spirit, and also test a new boat model at a distance.

The St. Petersburg rowing Marathon is timed to coincide with the birthday of Peter the Great, who was an ardent fan of sailing. To date, this is the largest rowing marathon in Russia, this year about 3,000 participants from different parts of the country have registered, who chose one of three available distances — 68 km from the village of Morozov, 40 km from the Izhora River and 10 km from the Okhta River. The finish line for everyone is the Green beach of the Peter and Paul Fortress.

"The madness of the brave is the wisdom of life!" we thought and decided to swim 68 km for the second time! And what kind of endurance test is this without torrential rain and wind? But thanks to the St. Petersburg weather, as always, it did not disappoint: it provided both water and wind!

This year, a new model of the Viking boat with the proud name Evpatiy Kolovrat was chosen as a sports equipment in honor of the Ryazan hero who fought with the army of Batu Khan. Unlike the Drakkar, the choice of last year, this boat is wider, more comfortable and with moving banks, which made it possible not just to go the distance, but to make it easy and fun. Honestly deserved second place in the Open group with a result of 06 hours 06 minutes 42.3 seconds!
