Installation of glass on the roof of the Unified Document Center in St. Petersburg

About the project

The city:
St. Petersburg

Object: Single Document Center
Type of work: Glass installation
Tasks: Тo make the glazing of the roof of the Single Document Center

Implementation: The building of the United Center of Documents, made of red brick and located on the Neva Embankment, is known to every St. Petersburg citizen. The single document center serves as a multifunctional complex in which each visitor can pay a state duty, get advice from various specialists, use the services of a lawyer and a notary.

For the ARLIFT technique, the next task was to install a glass weighing 200 kilograms on the roof of the Center. The work had to be done directly from the roof itself.

To complete the task, two units of ARLIFT equipment were sent:

Why was this technique chosen?

Due to its small dimensions and weight - 2300 kilograms, the Jekko SPD360CDH mini-crane is able to perform work on various fragile surfaces, to pass into the most narrow openings even in the working position.

The vacuum capture ARLIFTER GS-350, despite its compact size and weight of only 50 kilograms, is able to lift glass and sandwich panels up to 8 meters long and weighing up to 350 kilograms.

Being located on the floor slabs inside the building, the mini-crane SPD360CDH with a jeweler's precision let the boom with a vacuum sucker onto the specified installation site.

At this facility, Nordfasad worked as our regular customer who became a reliable partner of ARLIFT during its work.We are proud that our equipment works on historical objects that are so significant for the city!

Only ARLIFT equipment was able to cope with the task at the facility. Works were completed in just 4 days.
