The cable—stayed or Bolshoy Obukhov Bridge is one of the longest bridges in Russia and the only permanent bridge across the Neva River in the Northern capital. A magnificent view opens from both banks of the river to this truly majestic ferry, which the city needs so much, especially during the navigation season. We are even a little jealous of those who will practice water sports in this place!

The SPX527 mini crane and the Arlifter GS-500 vacuum gripper, two workhorses of the Arlift company, distinguished themselves at the facility. Modern, versatile, productive, and at the same time the most compact equipment has repeatedly performed tasks beyond the capacity of other equipment. The built-in intelligent system of the mini-crane Arlift SPX527 clearly demonstrates all the parameters of work at the facility.

The screen mounted on the control panel displays the boom reach and the weight of the load being lifted, which allows the operator to avoid overloading and comply with all safety requirements. The remote control provides mobility and control of all stages of installation. To perform a number of tasks, the mini-crane can be equipped with a vacuum manipulator, a two-section jib, a grabber or, as in our case, an Arlifter GS-500 vacuum gripper.

The vacuum gripper, developed in St. Petersburg, is designed for the installation of sandwich panels and glass weighing up to 500 kg, can turn the glass from the transport position to the mounting position without re-locking (360° rotation with 90° fixation), which significantly speeds up and simplifies installation.
